Dear Youth Family,
It is with much excitement that I’m able to serve each of you once again! I am ecstatic about the opportunity to meet and fellowship in person once again as well! I do not take the responsibility of engaging, understanding, and impacting our youth department lightly. Developing their social skills as well as their spiritual insight for the future is essential. Just as III John 1:2 states, “Dear friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and are in good health, even as your soul prospers.” I as lead, it is my goal to ensure that our youth prospers academically, professionally, mentally/physically, and most importantly spiritually.
In recent months, we as a body of believers have witnessed drastic shifts culturally, socially, and politically. I find it wonderful that we are in such a time where we can still make an impact. The ability to understand these times and foster change is the key to our goal and mission. Also, being able to lead our youth to Christ and teaching them how to live in harmony with Him takes much time and dedication on all levels. Just as parents serve in the home, teachers serve in the classrooms, coaches serve in activities; we too, as the body of Christ, hold a responsibility to serve our youth. So never think that the role you play is too small to have an impact. I thank you for your labor, time, and effort in every capacity in which you serve.

To have an impact and be vital to our youth, we should maximize each opportunity to make them feel encouraged, empowered, and equipped. They should be encouraged, through our actions and know that they need not be ashamed to live for Christ. They should be empowered to lead and fulfill roles and responsibilities throughout their matriculation. We must reiterate to them that they are fully equipped for the various challenges of life that await them. I implore them to become great citizens of this earthly domain and vital assets to The Kingdom.

In preparation for our 2023 Youth Convention, we focus on this key concept: REIGNITE. How does that spark lead to a flame that will continuously shine, give life, and live in purpose. We are looking to reignite our faith, worship, purpose, and calling. As we live post-pandemic, we reignite our passion and purpose to do the will of God. So many opportunities are available for us to witness and share our witness of the glory of God. I hear God telling Elijah, “take a break, but get up because I have more work for you to do!” God has work for us to do, and this is only a drop in the bucket compared to what he has in store.
In Christian Love,
Pastor Trevor S. Cropp I, State Youth President
